Aljezur

This is a town in the far west of the Algarve and is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas on the Atlantic coast. Carved over centuries its rocks and cliffs hug the sandy beaches. A spot for surfers often offers a wild and deserted scenery. This small village is in a fertile valley dominated by a Moorish castle from the tenth century, the last to be conquered by the Christians. Some of its best-known beaches are Amoreira, Monte Clerigo and Arrifana.
Aljezur is the capital of the municipality and are also the parishes of Bordeira, Odeceixe Rogil
